At age 15, Pastor Paul Jason (PJ) dedicated his life to the LORD and followed faithfully with a fervent heart. He was called into Praise and Worship ministry and began songwriting at the young age of 17. He met and fell in love with his wife, Leonie, in youth ministry and they have been faithfully together ever since.

 

During their young adult years they continued to serve in youth ministry, Pastor PJ as a Youth Director and Leonie as Youth coordinator, until the LORD called them both to study together in Bible College.

In 2005, Pastor PJ graduated and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Bible and Theology with a major in Pastoral Ministry and Church Administration from William Jessup University.  Pastor PJ is licensed and ordained under the National Association of Christian Ministers.

Throughout the years, Pastor PJ and Leonie has served in a local church overseeing a variety of ministries. For 7 years he served as a Worship Leader and Youth Coordinator. For 15 years he served as a Associate and Worship Pastor and also served as a Men's Ministry Director. Leonie faithfully served as a Church administrator, Women's ministry support and Children's ministry teacher.   In 2017, GOD confirmed the specific calling in their lives to plant a new church and family of faith and on April 8, 2018, THE CORNERSTONE was established.

Pastor PJ strongly believes that sound doctrine and theology should never be compromised.  He loves to teach and preach the WORD of GOD through expository preaching and displays his creativity through vivid  illustrations. He is a man with a sense of humor and a child at heart. He has a passion to equip, encourage and edify people to walk in the calling of GOD.

 

Leonie has always served faithfully by his side and has been a constant support.  Outside of ministry, she is the owner and director of Lil' Stars, a Christian Preschool/Daycare. She truly displays the beautiful calling to teach, care and cultivate children in the ways of the LORD.  Pastor PJ and Leonie were married in 2003 and together they have four beautiful children – Caleb, Elizabeth, Paula and Joshua.
